OMEGA is primarily designed to facilitate the reconstruction of positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) data, including simulated GATE data. It provides a user-friendly interface for algorithmic development, allowing for efficient matrix-free implementation of both forward (A * x) and backward (A’ * y) projections. This software, compatible with MATLAB and GNU Octave, enables the reconstruction of various data formats such as ASCII, LMF, and ROOT obtained from GATE PET simulations and image-CT projections for CT.
